This Slow Cooker Root Beer Pulled Pork Sliders made with Not Your Father’s Root Beer and barbecue sauce is an excellent comfort food for fall!
In case you’re not aware, the root beer in this recipe is actually alcoholic beer that tastes just like root beer. Unbelievably so. And with only 4 ingredients in this recipe you can’t go wrong!
I’m personally trying to use my slow cooker more, it’s so simple, convenient and makes such delicious food! This pulled pork recipe was actually inspired by my popular Slow Cooker Hawaiian Barbecue Pulled Pork recipe I made last month that contained only 6 ingredients. It was so good my husband is insisting it goes into our regular dinner rotation along with the Pineapple Coleslaw.
For this recipe I put the pulled pork on sliders instead of regular size hamburger buns. It’s a little less messy and easier to control portion size. This recipe is also perfect for tailgating or fall parties.
I’m not going to discuss how healthy it is to drink beer. But with my guidelines of everything in moderation let’s discuss it. You’ve likely heard of the recommendation of no more than one drink for women and two drinks for men per day. Well what does that exactly look like? One drink counts as 4 ounces of wine, 12 ounces of beer, 1.5 ounces of 80-proof spirits, or 1 ounce of 100-proof spirits.
And if you’re worried about the alcohol left in food after you’ve cooked with it, check out this chart.
