teaspoon
chili powder
1
teaspoon
garlic powder
1/2
teaspoon

salt and pepper to taste
Sauce
1
cup
beer (I used New Holland Brewery The Poet Oatmeal Stout)
1
cup
sweet onion barbecue sauce + extra for topping on sliders
8
slider buns
1/2
large onion
sliced
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine the beef, freekeh, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, and salt and pepper.
Stir until combined.
Place bowl in refrigerator for at least 1 hour (this helps meatballs stay together).
Combine barbecue sauce and beer in a small bowl and stir until combined.
Form balls into slightly smaller than golf ball size and place in the baking dish.
Pour sauce over meatballs.
Cook for about 40-45 minutes or until meatballs reach 165 (check) degrees Fahrenheit.
While meatballs are cooking, sauce onions in one tablespoon of olive oil.
Add 2 meatballs to each slider, topped with sauteed onions and additional barbecue sauce if desired.
Notes
Makes about 20 meatballs.
