You all know I love chocolate AND peanut butter, particularly when you add ice cream to it! Well that’s why I came up with this simple yet delicious ice cream Easter treat containing BUTTERFINGER® Cup Eggs 6pk, along with BUTTERFINGER® Minis. I don’t regularly have ice cream in the house on purpose, since I would eat it daily. But I prefer to eat ice cream at home since it’s so much cheaper compared to going to the ice cream store (we have at least six within two miles of our house, I’m not kidding!).

For special occasions (birthdays and holidays), I will buy ice cream and typically make another dessert along side it. This time I thought why not attempt a blizzard at home. Honestly, I can’t believe it took this long!

Keep in mind there are several ways to make “blizzards” including adding milk to it. I chose the simplest way by just adding chopped candy and caramel to the ice cream but feel free to experiment with adding a little milk and mixing it all in a blender. The fewer things to clean the better for me.

You can’t beat two simple steps. Like I’ve said before, SIMPLE is the key for me!

In case you’re curious all BUTTERFINGER® products contain no artificial colors and flavors, and added colors are from natural sources.

Dietitian’s Dish

Do you stress out about planning for holidays? I used to until I started planning ahead. I know that sounds simple but it truly helps. I’m way too busy to prep and plan a meal just a few days in advance. When I know I’m hosting a holiday like Easter, I will first start by thinking of the main entree (usually ham or turkey) then plan around that. I’ll next ask my guests what they would like to bring. Since I don’t have a large family this is fairly simple. However, if you have a larger family, and guest don’t mind bringing side dishes, try using a Google Doc and have your family/friends list what they would like to bring (this way everyone can see what others are bringing).  And if you don’t use Pinterest–start! There is a plethora of meal ideas and always something new to try.
