These sweet Sand Pudding Cups are filled with pudding, vanilla wafers and whipped cream making them a fantastic sweet treat for any summer party!
This past Wednesday we went with some friends to see fireworks at a nearby city. This was the first time we have taken our kids to see fireworks since they could never make it past 8 pm and honestly I couldn’t handle them much past 8 pm. But these days we’ve had so many friends to hang out with that they are up much past their normal bedtime so the fireworks didn’t seem so difficult. Now if only they could learn how to sleep in past 7 am that would be lovely!
Our neighbors who invited us to the fireworks have the perfect spot for watching the fireworks which is in a large open field where the kids have plenty of room to play. It’s fantastic having friends with kids around the same age as ours especially since they play so nicely together. One of our neighbors even brought a life-size Jenja game which the kids got quite serious with (as you can tell by JP’s expression).
I made these cups to take with us to the fireworks and all the kids and adults enjoyed them. I have seen several variations of this sand pudding on Pinterest but most versions included butter and powdered sugar which I omitted. They are definitely sweet enough with the pudding and whipped cream. And I think they are the perfect treat for summer time!
This batch made enough to fill about 9 plastic cups but you could always double the batch and put it in a 9 x 13 pan for large crowds. This dessert is also perfect to get the kiddos in the kitchen and help make it!
