A Convenient and Healthy Grocery Delivery Service {Door to Door Organics}

When it comes to feeding my family, convenience is a HUGE priority these days right next to offering healthy meals to them.  Besides stocking up on staples, meal planning (which I could definitely get better at) and serving a variety of foods, I strive to keep fresh produce in my house.  Door to Door Organics

Unfortunately fresh produce doesn’t last as long as packaged or frozen foods and taking three kids to the grocery store more than once a week is not my idea of a good time  Thankfully I found an amazing delivery service called Door to Door Organics to help free up a little time and help maintain some of my sanity all while still providing healthy options for my family.

I tried out Door to Door Organics (D2DO) home delivery service about a year ago when I used my friend Rachel’s code to get $10 off my first order.  And you’re in luck because I have partnered with Door to Door Organics to give each of my readers the same offer.  Just enter “CHOCOLATES” in the code section and receive $10 off your first order just for trying the service.  Oh, and there is no delivery fee…ever!

Unique Features of Door to Door Organics

  • D2DO does NOT just delivery produce, they also delivery beverages, meat and bakery items and so much more.  Check out their shop page to see everything they offer.
  • For the produce boxes, a variety of seasonal organic produce comes in each box which you can substitute up to 5 items each week.
  • A “Produce Preferences” section allows you to add foods that you never want to be included in your box (due to allergies, personal preferences, etc.).
  • An email reminder alerts you each week to review your next delivery (honestly I have forgotten a few times to review it and end up receiving a few items that I wouldn’t normally eat or cook with and it turns out awesome because it forces me to try something different).
  • You can receive deliveries every week or every other week and can easily place a hold on your account if you’re going on vacation or for whatever reason.
  • There is an entire section on Door to Door Organics website dedicated to recipe building.  Choose your recipe, pick out the ingredients and get them delivered!
  • You may have noticed a white plastic bag in the produce box above. Well it’s a freezer bag that’s included in your produce box during the warm months.  So no need to worry about being home at the time of delivery, your produce will be fresh and cool when you open it.
  • And did I mention you can try out your own box with $10 off with the code “CHOCOLATES”?  You won’t be disappointed!

When it comes to produce there are four different sizes you can choose from along with the option of ordering just fruit, just vegetables or a combination of both.

Door to Door Organics

This was my small mixed fruit and veggie box order from this week.

Here’s what was included in the small mixed box I received this week:

(4) Organic Black Plums
(1) Organic Bartlett Pears
(1) Organic Red Potato
(1) Organic Green Seedless Grapes 1 lb
(1) Organic Carrots 1 lb
(1) Organic Red Bell Pepper
(2) Organic Pink Lady Apples
(2) Organic Zucchini Squash
(1) Organic Lacinato Kale
(3) Organic Yellow Peaches
(3) Organic Pluots
(4) Organic Bananas

My kids also love when we receive our weekly order.  We play a game which involves me pulling each item out of the box one by one and they guess the name of each fruit or vegetable.  So not only are they learning the names of some new fruits and vegetables, but they also become curious and want to taste the new produce.

Door to Door Organics

E loves D2DO just as much as I do 🙂

So if you’re at all curious about trying out this service, check it out!  Just don’t forget to use my code “CHOCOLATES” to receive $10 off your first order and sit back and enjoy!

Disclaimer: I was compensated for my time however, I have used Door to Door Organics over the past year on my own since I love the service and products they provide.  My views and opinion on this post are and will always be my own.  I will only partnership with brands that I believe promote or provide products that fit into a healthy, balanced lifestyle.

Love love delivered organics. Such a treat! I did this weekly in Washington and I haven't looked up any since we've moved. My kids also loved playing in the boxes ;)
